Wozzy (left) is the Founder and Executive Director of The Midi Music Company (MMC) and JB (right) is a Singer, Vocal Coach and Playwright.
They both grew up in Deptford and were part of the creative community that sprung up at The Albany Empire in the 80’s.
They are examples of the transformative power of the Arts – they wouldn’t be doing what they’re doing without the Albany space.
They’re both still engaged with Heart n Soul. Our Do Your Own Thing creative arts sessions and Choir take place at MMC and JB is the Vocal Coach for artist Lizzie Emeh and other Heart n Soul artists.
In their portrait they wanted to be seen as mentors, friends and show their long history with Deptford and how the area and the building has developed them and their careers.
