When we were originally planning The Big 30 project there were all sorts of ideas to discuss. An important aspect for everyone was that the project would have a legacy. Talented artist Ben Connors created illustrations from some of our discussions about The Big 30.
In the image on the left you can see some of our thoughts about the legacy of the project, or in other words how we want the project to live on and be remembered for years to come. For instance, we are working with organisations, like the London Metropolitan Archives and Lewisham Library and Archive, who will make The Big 30 stories available to future generations, but we also want to be part of the future of Deptford. We hope that all the local events we are running in July will bring the community together for years to come!
